Passing into a new season

The interesting thing about life is that there are seasons. And knowing the seasons in life is important to live successfully. We all know that we have winter, fall, summer and spring, but there many times the seasons of life are less obvious. Sometimes you feel the transition before you even know what is ending or have a clear picture of what is beginning.

In the old testament, in 1 Chronicles 12, the tribe of Issachar was known by the fact that they knew and understood the seasons. They were able to help Israel know what they needed to do.

Right now we are, as individuals and as a corporate people, shifting into a new season. We are crossing over into a new place. I know for me and my family, the place is only loosely defined, but I feel the weight of what is coming.

The Lord, in this season is asking us to prepare. Get your house in order. Get your resume's ready. Be ready and expectant for open doors to come to you. Be pursuing the things in your heart. As we co-labor with Jesus, we need to be ready. He IS ON THE MOVE! And I know that I want to be in alignment when He asks me to do/go where He leads.

For many of you, this feeling of transition ... of anticipation ... is something you are feeling right now. The feeling can lead you to feel uneasy because of the lack of clarity that has yet come. But don't pull back. I am having to purposely press in. Past my fears. Past my doubts. Past my logic.

The preparation is for something I can only sense. But when Jesus moves in this season, things are going to shift rapidly. We need to be prepared so we are not playing catch up or moving out of timing.

If you are feeling these things, fully recognize your season is shifting. So prepare. Get ready. Be hopeful.

This week is the week of Passover in the Hebrew calendar. Even though we are in a New Testament reality, the Lord set the feasts up as appointed times to meet with Him. So this week, purpose to set time to look at your season. Ask Jesus where He is moving and what He is shifting. And then ask Him what you need to do to get prepared.

Because the revival we have in our hearts is about to be poured out upon our cities and our businesses. The hope of heaven is soon going to be a tangible feeling to a hopeless generation. And the Lord Jesus is asking you to get ready to work with Him as He moves in a greater capacity. So pass over into your new season.
